Mary Kroptavich
Mary Kroptavich's journey into photography began as a personal passion, evolving into a creative outlet that balances her many roles in the Pittston community. As the owner of MPKPhotography, Mary captures the beauty in everyday moments, blending her artistic eye with her love for storytelling. What started as a hobby soon grew into a professional endeavor, where she now uses photography to document high school seniors, flowers, wildlife and the vibrant life of her community. For Mary, photography is not just about taking pictures but about freezing time, preserving memories, and showcasing the unique essence of every subject she photographs.
Robert "Bergie" Bergstrasser
Robert Bergstrasser is a sculptor and painter whose work spans more than five decades and is rooted in process, intuition, and discovery. Working in wood, stone, clay, ink, pencil and watercolor, he allows each piece to evolve organically, embracing imperfection as part of creation. Introduced to sculpture in 1963 by mentor Graydon Mayer at Kingston High School, Bergstrasser credits dyslexia with strengthening his creativity and visual awareness. Despite health challenges, he has returned to stone carving and life drawing with renewed passion. A self-described “process artist,” Bergstrasser continues to explore form through direct carving, life drawing, and an ever-evolving
relationship with material and craft.
