Leigh Pawling "Nature Nurtures"

Artist Statement

The theme of the  latest works created in the last year is of the scenes I see while walking my dog, Skye.  She and I are similar that we are in our ‘happy place’ while seeing the daily changing imagery mother nature so graciously bestows upon us.  The works are mostly of looking down at the array of moss, rocks and leaves which inexplicably create abstract patterns reflecting my abstract works. While painting in acrylics, I feel once again that nature is bringing me ‘back home’ 

grounding me spiritually and mentally and reminding me it is always available for which I feel supremely appreciative.
